The Oconomowoc Area Baseball Club (OABC) not only grows strong athletes but also plays a role in developing our boys and girls into the young men and women they will become, better prepared for the challenges of high school and beyond. Being a member of the Five O’s instills mental toughness, resilience, and perseverance in our young athletes and teaches the importance of community. Through hard work, commitment to their teammates, and the love of the game, our athletes achieve much more than what takes place on the field; they become leaders for their peers to follow.
Purpose:
For the efforts our boys and girls have put into the Five O’s over the years, the OABC is pleased to offer scholarship opportunities for the most outstanding individuals as they approach the end of their senior year in high school. Each year, former players can earn one of two $1050 scholarships as they prepare for college. These scholarships are awarded to one former baseball and one fastpitch player annually.

- Former Five O’s player with at least five years playing in the program (U7-U14).
- Grade Point Average of 3.0 or higher.
- Acceptance to an accredited educational institution for a degree or trade program.
Application:
- Submit a one-page, double-spaced essay detailing what you learned playing for the Five O’s and your future plans.
- Submit applications by May 15th of each calendar year.
Selection Process:
The Executive Board of Directors will convene in May following the deadline to review all applications and select the two most deserving former baseball and fastpitch players for the $1050 scholarship awards, respectively.
Notifications:
The two players receiving awards will be notified no later than June of their respective years. They will be formally recognized and given their earned scholarships during the July Board of Directors meeting.
